Up for sale is a very nice quality pair of antique 19th century candle holder sconces. They are made of a very thick dore bronze and each is a singled armed sconce. The pair is done with very ornate detailing throughout and displays wonderfully. They mount flush to the wall and both in great condition. Have nothing in your houses that you do not consider to be beautiful or useful. Pair Large Antique French Bronze Rococo Wall Sconces/ Candle Holders. Dating from the 1880s, they are in gold colored solid bronze and are very heavy each one weighs 5 lbs. At one point, a hole was drilled in each of the top cups with the idea of electrifying them. They each measure about 17 ¼ inches high from the bottom to the top of the highest cup and measure about 14 inches at their widest points on the sides. The candle drip holders are blackish – as they were found in the manor house. These wall sconces/candle holders are very classical, very elegant and look stunning in a period home. Please read before purchasing. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it. The condition of the object is described as accurately as possible, including its character flaws. But that is really part of the attraction and enjoyment of an old piece. Please verify the package upon receipt and inform the postal authorities of any damage. The item must be sent back in the same condition and in the same packaging.
