Rare Vintage Antique Parabolic Reflector Magnifying Candle Wall Sconce. Rare (Early 20th Century) Antique Parabolic Magnifying Candle Wall Sconce. Candle uses lens and polished concave reflector to increase the amount of light produced. Industrial, rustic, traditional or modern, this one of a kind pair make a great conversation piece and will brighten any room. Lens can be adjusted up or down, and side to side, to accommodate the candle being used. Believed to be nickel plated brass. Measures 10″ wide x 10″ tall x 8 deep. Each lens is 4 diameter. This beautiful piece, possibly dating from the Napoleon III period, in France. Shows wonderful detailing and sculpturing of the bronze design work, showing the Latin moto “NEC PLURIBUS IMPAR”. The sconce is in generally very good condition for its age. It has, however, at some point been sympathetically modified to accept electric cable. We, however, have left it in the condition in which it was sourced – to take candles. The bronze shows incredible patina and colouration, due to its age and makes a rare and magnificent statement piece on any wall. This is for a vintage wall sconce candle holders with beveled mirrors. These are 23″ at the longest point and 11 1/2″ wide where the candle holders are. The mirrors are approximately 7 1/2″ x 4 3 /4″ and are beveled with a velvet like back. I will add photos with measurements. Item is preowned, Please refer to photos for overall condition. The actual item colors may be lighter or darker than the pictures due to lighting, reflection and differences in photography / technologies and or tarnish. Antique Victorian Solid Brass Double Arm Wall Sconces Converted Matching Pair. These are heavy solid brass sconces. They have not been polished. The wiring from these has been removed. You can use them for candlesticks or have them rewired back to their original state. They both have a switch in the center of the sconce to turn off and on. No mounting hardware is include. Sconce arms are adjustable and can be spread out to your desire. One of the sconces has a slit on the top in the metal, shown in pictures, that must have been done when they were made. It is not visible from a mounted position. Measurements Are 11″T, Center Base Is 4″ Across.
