This beautiful pair of antique candle sconces were painstakingly crafted in the 1920′s and were cast in a beautiful golden brass. The ornate metalwork frames an oval mirror with beveled edges. Each sconce features two arms that buttress tapered candle holders. These ornate works of art are a must have for vintage decor enthusiasts, as well as lovers of art and design from the Art Nouveau & Art Deco eras. Rococo/Louis-XV/Regency Antique 3-Arm Brass/Bronze Acanthus Pair Wall Sconces. There are no markings on the back of the sconces. All I know is that they are certainly vintage, possibly antique. I have taken pictures from all possible angles, sides, top, bottom. The last photograph was taken at the home where these sconces were found, above the living room fireplace (at Christmas time). The arms of the sconces are movable. They are attached with bolts that can be loosed/fastened with a medium size Allen wrench. See picture of the bolts. There is no rust or blemish I can find. They have a beautiful gold/bronze patina. The sconces are solid brass and very heavy – 92.4 oz (5.77 lbs) each. Size: 16-1/2″ high, 13″ wide. I will loosen the arms just a little for packing purposes and cushion the sconces all around with bubble wrap. The entire package will be at least 14 lbs and approximately 20 x 18″ in length and width and 10″ high (maybe larger). I have included a “make offer” opportunity. This is a pair of vintage brass two-arm candle sconces, made by Virginia Metalcrafters. They likely date to the 1970s-80s. This company is no longer in business. The sconces are 13″ tall x 11″ drip plate to drip plate. They weigh over 2.5 pounds each. They’re in good vintage condition overall. One of the candle cups has more significant patina – shown in the last photo. They come with the mounting screws (not shown in photos, but they’ll be included). They are as-found, and would benefit from a cleaning/polishing, but otherwise, they are wonderful, substantial pieces from a quality maker!
