Welcome to Junky Jenn’s! This listing is for a terrific pair of vintage wall candle sconces with a Spanish or Gothic flair! These were love at first sight for me! I imagine it would be nearly impossible to find another pair like them! Hopefully you will love them too! The iron work is superb it has zig-zagged edges and interesting turns! It is both rugged and curvy at the same time! The wood mounting plaques are almost black in color the grain and knots show proudly and add interesting texture. I believe the chiseled accents are all hand done! And the amber glass hurricane shades add just the right vintage touch! They are approximately 16 inches tall x 5 3/4 inches at the widest point. They project approximately 4 1/2 inches from the wall. I have hand oiled the metal and wood, and cleaned the glass as well as I can by hand. There is still a little wax residue on the glass and in the wax wells. I did not feel comfortable doing anything invasive to these beauties! The glass shades have wire “clamps” that hold the shades down safely so you do not accidentally knock them down. But they are easy to remove to change the candle or clean. I suppose that is why they are still with us! Each sconce holds a taper style candle. The only defects I can find are one popped air bubble in the glass on one of the shades. It is not a chip, it is a bubble with no glass on top. I would just turn the shade to face the back. There is also a small chip on the bottom of one shade that cannot be seen with the glass in place. BLACK FOREST CARVED TIGER OAK WOOD WALL HUNG MIRROR TOWEL BAR CANDLE HOLDER. Up for your consideration is this really nice antique wood framed wall hung mirror. This is a solid wood piece in excellent condition made out of tiger oak wood. The 7-1/4″ x 9-1/4″ mirror has a decorative candle holder on each side with a planter and towel bar underneath. There are also two 2″ x 10″ panels on each side of the mirror that have a small step in the back which would allow you to customize it with your own stained glass or mirror. A nice customizable antique decorative piece that would look great in any home. Please be sure to see the other items we have listed. FEATURES: True antique hand made solid tiger oak wood framed wall hanging mirror with 2 candle holders, a planter box, and towel or embroidery bar. INCLUDED: The actual wall hung wood framed mirror pictured. NOT-INCLUDED: No original box, packaging or paperwork. No props used for size reference. ON THE BACK: There are 2 eye screws and metal hanging wire. SIZE:The overall size is 17-1/4″ wide x 25-3/8″ tall x 3-1/2 front to back. The surface of the mirror is 7-1/4″ wide x 9-1/4″ tall. Both of these breaks happened many decades ago. The mirror was recently remounted with a silicone bead around the back to hold it solidly in place. A tiny bit of the gold finish has chipped off the inner edge of the mirror border in the lower right hand corner and a coupe smaller chips in the left hand side of the mirror border.
