French Country LARGE SYROCO WOOD Wall Candle Sconces Holders. So elegant, so sophisticated and so French! Fabulous ornate large double wall sconces by SYROCO WOOD. With aged and worn distressed creamy white ivory finish. 21″ tall x 11″ wide x 5 depth. Minor cosmetic wear, as expected with age and use, such as small/light surface marks, light wear to paint. One arm is little loose (easily fixable with screwdriver).
This is a very old, ornately carved candle holder that was made in Italy. The arms are metal and the body is wood. There are some spots of wear to the gold commensurate with age as shown in the photos, but truly a remarkable piece from what appears to be the age of it.

The sconce is marked by the maker: CHAPMAN of Italy. The item is made of wrought iron with a painted black finish, with wooden bobeche candleholders and a carved wood decorative element. This sconce has five arms, and each arm can hold a candlestick. The sconce has a metal loop on the backside so you can hang the sconce for display and use. Sconces are fairly heavy weighing 2 Lbs. Both are in great condition. The only issues I could find are minor and are as follows. A small blemish to the wood which has to viewed in the right light to be noticed (see last 2 photos). Very minor movement in one of the sconces where the metal eagle is nailed to the wood backer board. Both of these issues are nit-picking and minor in nature.
Wonderful pair of vintage candelabras in wood, with resin base and metal arms. These wonderful candelabras accommodate 3 candles each and have attached wooden tassels. Each candelabra measures approximately 23.25″ tall, 16″ wide, and 15.5 deep. Hung in same place for 25 years, never moved and never used. These are very large!! I have had these in my personal collection for over 25 years. Hate to part with them, but downsizing!
