Each face has open eyes and mouth to let light shine through. Metal mounting on back for hanging and supporting candle (not included). 1 14 1/2″ high, 12″ wide, approximately 4 wall projection. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage mid century modern wall hanging electric clock manufactured by United (Brooklyn, NY – USA). Circa’50s /’60. The clock is constructed of metal, and each of the small atomic balls at the ends of the hour marker extensions appear to be made of wood. There is a glass protective covering on the clock face. This will make a welcome addition to any mid century modern interior! 13″ across x 2.25″ deep. The clock face, including the bezel, is approx. 6.75 in diameter. The small atomic ball markers are each approx. 0.5 in diameter. Condition: Good vintage condition – there are no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some paint loss around the metal bezel surrounding the clock face, as well as some paint loss along the back side of the clock. Neither particularly detracts, and it can be touched up quite easily – we just chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The clock has been tested for an extended period of time – it runs quietly and keeps accurate time. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the clock, and its in fine shape – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. As with all vintage electronics, we always strongly urge having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Up for sale this signed Bruce Fox Vintage Antique Tall Solid Metal Aluminum/Copper WALL Candle Holder UNIQUE & RARE ESTATE FIND SALE! . Condition is good adult pre-owned. It says “Bruce Fox” with a few letters and numbers: “FFS3″ in the back as shown in the pictures. It’s from 1950′s. Please review photos and feel free to message me if you have any questions or concerns before purchasing but don’t let them beat you as this is unique! Very rare/hard to find again. Was founded in 1938 by a young metalsmith and sculptor, Bruce Fox. The company started as a producer of cast aluminum and sculpted copper decorative pieces and giftware in post-Depression America. Most of the designs of the company’s early era featured themes from natureleaves and animals were popular subject matter, many of which were tropically inspired in nature. Bruce Fox was creating the molds and patterns himself for production in his small metalworking shop, which included an aluminum and bronze foundry, as well as a number of casting and molding capabilities. The 1950s and 1960s period, the company’s focus was on the retail giftware and decor market. The company ran a retail store at its factory location in New Albany, Indiana for a number of years. In the early part of this era, the company thrived on the appeal of aluminum as a relatively exotic metal. Bruce Fox died in 1960. Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
