For sale is this Fabulous Antique Victorian Brass Floral Wall Sconce Candle Holder. The item measures 25 inches long and 15 inches tall at either end, the circular wall plate measuring 7.25 inches across the centre. Seven candles can be placed in the holder as can be seen from the photos (candles not supplied) each one having drip trays in the form of a flower head. The 11 flower heads underneath are of brass and are in the form of flower heads with brass stamens to the centres – 2 of the flower heads have the stamens missing. The circular brass wall fixing plate is again original with applied petal decoration and as with the sconce has no dings or dents. A Fabulous piece of Interior Design. Up for sale is a very nice quality pair of 19th century wall mount candle holder sconce arms. They are made of very thick d ore bronze, are heavy pieces, and have acquired a nice patina from age. The casting is extremely detailed with ram head finials and foliated swirled arms. They have shade fitters that can hold a shade measuring 4 inches in diameter and also has small mounts for crystals. They are in nice condition and each measures 10 3/4 inches long by 4 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches up and down. The has some greening to the finish in areas as seen in photos. Listing is for a vintage matching pair of Victorian wall candle sconces, with holders for 2 candles each. Both marked with the letter “S” on the back, above the mirror. Both have beveled mirrors with some small chip size areas having loss the reflection (paint loss to the back of the glass/mirror causes loss to the mirror’s reflectionon the front side), and water like dots. One mirror has some somewhat extensive scratching in one area (mirror on the left in the photos), you can feel with your fingernail, and can easily see it from 10 feet away, so the mirror, or both, should be replaced, the other is in good/acceptable condition, no scratching. These measure approximately 23″ long, mirror area is 7″ wide, candle holders are wider at about 9″ for one and 9 1/4″ for the other, these are not perfectly aligned, but could be properly aligned. The round base of the actual candle holder has 6 holes each for hanging crystals. You will need 24 matching crystals. These have been painted a gold/brass color, I do see brass under the paint here and there on the front side. Back could be cast iron, with brass to the front? Both are basically in very good condition with the mirrors and paint being the exceptions, no breaks, cracks, or repairs. See photos for more details. Thank you for viewing. These were salvaged from a Georgian greenhouse complex before it was re developed for housing in Buckinghamshire. They have sat in a barn since. Beautifully aged and heavy cast iron and solid forged. The branches can be moved see images. They have all their original cast candle pins in the cup. Would look amazing stripped. These are rare have only seen two pairs of these on the web up at considerably more. They have an amazing look and will be superb mounted to a wall in the right interior. The three candle holders swivel slightly on the supports. Each one measures 45 cm high with a Span of 32 cm approx.
