Very pleased to offer for sale this exquisite pair of two (2) candle-holding, hand-carved wood wall sconces with the following fine features. Made likely of fruitwood or another dark wood indigenous to the Caribbean region. Expertly carved women with traditional headdress at the base with a hand-carved crouching woman figure on the stem adorned with round hanging finial. Beautiful details and figural motifs throughout. Measures 19.5″ tall x 4″ wide x 4 deep and each weighs approximately 1 pound, 3 ounces. In excellent condition, with a few cracks in the wood indicative of normal age and use. Gorgeous Pair Antique Candle Holders Wall Sconces Rusty & Ornate. This set has great patina which does include paint wear and rust on both of them. They are a heavy iron and the back plates depict an old antique skeleton key lock panel as shown. They are marked on the back. 78 inscribed, has some old newspaper stuck on the back as seen. There is some light candle residue still sitting in the holders but nothing major. Each candle holder measures 12 in long by 3.5 in wide in the center which would be the widest area.
