Could be used as candle holders, or there are holes so they could be wired to use as wall lights. One cherubs foot touches the bottom of the back plate, the other doesn’t. To hang them, they have a horizontal piece of a brass with a hole in, so they appear as though they would be hung on something that protrudes from the wall in an “L” shape. Here is a lot of solid brass candlesticks, candle holders a candelabra and a pair of wall sconces. Includes all of the pieces shown in the pictures. If I haven’t miscounted there should be 30 pieces total. They are of various heights/sizes and designs. There are some matching candlesticks. The tallest candlestick in this lot stands approximately 10 1/4 high. They are in used condition and will have scratches, scrapes and some dings. None of them have been cleaned or polished recently so most of them will be dirty and some will still be covered in a bit of wax. A pair of antique French 19th century heavy bronze and metal wall sconces. Modelled as a pair of putti guarding a flame floating above a lady’s head, wearing a crown/tiara and a decorative collar, acanthus foliage scrolling arms and sconces. Drilled for electric wires. Original antique French wiring running along the arms which should be replaced or simply removed so that these can be used as real candle holders. The babeche/drip plates do not match, one is different, see photos. Total height of back plate 8½. Overall width, between putti feet, about 4½ wide. The candle holders extend about 5 from wall. Please look closely at the photos, there is a replacement gem in one tiara.
