Beautiful group of Three – triple candle bronze wall sconces – these date from circa last quarter of 19th century. Cast from bronze – they have fine scrolling arms – creating an open, less heavy appearance- pretty scalloped edge bobèche. These would make a fine feature on any wall and would create such a perfect light holding nine candles. Although these are as they would have originally been made – it would be feasible to adapt these to electric if required. 2 of the sconces have been wired at sometime, as they have holes in the candle holders to facilitate the wiring – the same two sconces also have a bar at the reverse in the centre with a screw end to affix to the wall – this would result in two projecting out further from the wall (see measurements and photos). Condition – Excellent antique condition – no damage – we have only lightly cleaned – if you wished to polish them to a bright golden shine – this would work.
