Outstanding 1970s metal wall candle holder. Designed by Henrik Horst, Denmark. A unique piece and a perfect addition to any mid century interior. For candles with 2.28 (5.8 cm) diameter. Very good condition, no damages. Dimensions in cm: Height 37 cm, width 25.5 cm, depth 13 cm. Dimensions in inches: Height 14.56″, width 10.03″, depth 5.11.
This wall hanging mirror with dual candle holders has about the most fantastic patina one could hope for. Antique mirrors are all the rage in the world of interior decorators currently. If not actual antique mirrors they are recreating the look of antique mirrors by intentionally distressing new mirrors to look old. See the final bunch of screenshots for reference. This one has the look! The frame has lost some of its gold gilding in just the right amount and spots to look great. It is easy to hang on the wall with a single nail or screw. You can actually use it to light candles in, they will reflect beautifully off of the distressed antique mirror. This piece would have been made at some point in the second half of the 19th century or very early into the 20th century. The neo-classical dolphins at the top of the frame are lovely. Condition is excellent outside of the obvious patination. Former owner had a wealthy old coastal Maine estate. They put some cardboard shims behind the latches that secure the mirror to make sure it didn’t rattle around. What a cool decor piece for any home!
This is a vintage Hollywood Regency style, one, wall sconce candlestick holder with a mirrored 3D effect. It was manufactured by Dart company in the 1970′s and has an antique gold finish. The sconce is made of plastic with a glass shadowed mirror and is suitable for indoor use. It is designed to hold one candlestick candle. Items measure approx 20″ tall and 7.75″ wide. Easily re-attached with one screw each. Includes all both pieces – set of four.
Both sconces are in very good condition with general signs of aging. There is a little bit of green color around where the candles sit the holders. Each sconce measures 16″ high by 13″ wide by 4.5 deep and weighs 6 lbs 6 oz. Let me know if you have any questions or need more pics.
