For sale is a Vintage Brutalist Gothic Wall Sconce Candle Holder made of iron pieces welded together. Painted white with lot of patina and some rust. Measures 25″ long and 9″ wide. Candle holes are 7/8 diameter. Shows some signs of wear from age and use. Has a lot of worn paint and some rust on the exposed metal. No cracks or damage otherwise. This sale is for a set of two Brass/Bronze Wall Sconce Double Candle Holders. They’re an interesting set. The bottoms and tops screw off as if they used to be gas lamps, but I don’t see a wick so I’m just not sure. They mount to the wall and the each has a second candle holder that actually swivels side to side so you could move your candle away from the wall. One has a few small dents at its very bottom as shown in the last picture. They both have some patina. Over all very good condition as shown in pictures. It is done in what you might call a Gothic Revival, out of a composition or plaster of Paris type material, which is molded into the shape that you see now, then painted with an red background with an antiqued finish, and the edges were painted black and gold, with their own antiqued finish. Borghese was a design house that did quite a bit of decorative Gothic and Colonial Revival items in the 1940 and 1950s, and this was one of them. Ready to hang in your home! Approximate measurements: each 17 Tall x 3 Wide x 3 Deep. Weight: pair 4.7lb. It is in very good condition with minor wear. Sale as is (check photos please).
