A rare pair of antique French piano candle holders. They are ornate bronze (or brass) double holders. They are c1890 and are signed’L Pinet’ (see below). They are in excellent undamaged condition. They’ve been prepared for conversion to electricity. Holes have been drilled in the candle holder / plate. But they have no wiring or electrical fittings. The back plates are 4.5″ x 2.2″ (11.5 cm x 5.5 cm). The candle holders stand 6 high (15 cm). The arms pivot out from the center to the sides. They are 16 wide when arms extended (40.5 cm). They stand 4 off the wall with arms extended (10cm). When facing forward, they’re 8.5 off the wall (21.5cm). They have a gorgeous, warm-gold aged patina. This is an old antique very elaborate large gold gilt metal wall light candle sconce from a beautiful Victorian home that was decorated mostly in French. It is 18″ by 13″ and 7 1/2 deep with beautiful leaves and hanging tear shaped crystal prisms. One prism is not present. These are a common prism so would be easy to replace. The five back side lower center section leaves do have a hole for prisms but I think done were ever there as there is no space for them to hang. This is very ornate and pretty in person.
