Theses sconce are made of brass with very nice details (one candleholder has more oxidation). Both need to be entirely electrified (the candle made of cardboard have some wear) because it is vintage. Set of 2 Iron Fleur de Lis Wall Sconces / Candle holders. These fleur de lis wall candle holders / sconces were hand made and hand painted. I welded a scroll and candle plate to each of the cast iron wall fleur de lis plaques. I then hand finished each wall sconce in an antique gold color as pictured. You could also choose another color. If you do not see the color that would like listed, please send us a convo and we can probably accommodate your request. These sconces will work well with many decor styles from traditional to rustic. Use them alone on a wall, or as an accent on each side of a mirror or picture. Each sconce measures 13.25 inches High X 7.5 inches Wide. The candle plate measures 3 3/8 inches in diameter. Traditionally, the Fleur de Lis has been used to represent French royalty, and in that sense it is said to signify perfection, light, and life. Due to its three “petals, ” the fleur-de-lis has also been used to represent the Holy Trinity. Military units, including divisions of the United States Army, have used the symbol’s resemblance to a spearhead to identify martial power and strength. We started our business in September 2001, and have been very successful locally. We hand paint/finish every single piece of home decor that we sell, so every piece is a unique piece of art. A top piece out of a church in France. Rare to find large wood carved wall hanging angel where you can place a candle in. 50 x 38 cm so it is a pretty large piece you don’t see often in this size as most are a lot smaller. It has some old woodworm holes (treated) and some loss of the original polychromie but despite its age it are all acceptable traces of age which are normal for such a piece and give it its charm also.
