Pair Vintage Solid Heavy Brass Cherub Candle Stick Holder Wall Sconces Italian. This is a stunning pair of vintage very heavy solid brass wall mount candle stick holder sconces. They are made in Italy, newer pieces but very nice quality pieces. Made from very thick heavy brass and is solid with a wonderful lacquer/polished finish. They are extremely ornate with intricate detailing depicting a cherub on each holding a single candle holder. The candle holder and drip plate are very ornate with stylized floral detailing. The cherubs have one foot on the wall bracket and the other on a nicely curved decorative piece on the bottom which is also equally as ornate as the rest of the piece. The backplate is very detailed and done in high relief. They are both in great shape and each measures 11 1/2 inches up ad down by 4 1/4 inches wide and sits 5 1/8 inches from the wall. Beautiful pair of vintage cherub candle sconces. I don’t know how old they are, but my guess is they are probably Victorian. Both are in good condition for their age and quite solid and heavy. The figures protrude away from the backplate, standing just above a scroll/shield base with a lovely leaf/plant design on the back plate. They stand 29cm tall and each one weighs just over 1.2kg. Any items bought on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be posted on Monday morning unless it’s a Bank holiday, then it will have to be Tuesday. It should be higher but so many people can’t be bothered. This is a vintage Capodimonte cherub beveled mirror wall display with three arms for candle holders. It measures about 16 1/4″ tall x 10 1/8″ in diameter across the mirror and about 7 deep. Ir does have a chip on the front leaf on the 2nd candle holder and repair in the same holder. It also has some wear and foxing on the mirror. I have tried to clean it with just Windex, but I didn’t want to try anything stronger. I will leave it to the collector. It is still a lovely piece and is listed in my store.
