Up for sale is a very nice quality pair of antique 19th century candle holder sconces. They are made of a very thick dore bronze and each is a singled armed sconce. The pair is done with very ornate detailing throughout and displays wonderfully. They mount flush to the wall and both in great condition. The candleholders measure 17 long each and weigh 3.5lbs each without the hurricane glass. Each hurricane glass stands 9.25 tall and are 5 wide. Each hurricane glass weighs in at. So everything together weighs in at 8lbs. When assembled, candleholder and hurricane portion measure 24.5 long. These pieces are in Excellent condition. Both hurricane glass are free from chips or cracks and the brass has been wiped clean but not polished. These would make a fabulous edition to any home. Please let me know if you have any questions. Gorgeous Pair of Vintage Brass Double Arm Candle Sconces. The ornate backs have flower and leaf detailing in the center with a “crinkled ribbon” bow at the top. 16-3/4″ long, 7-1/2″ wide, and project 3-1/2 out from the wall. Standard taper candles (not included) or pegged glass. Votive cups (not included). The candle sockets do have some old red & green wax residue inside them. Heavy cast brass with hangers on the back for easy wall mounting. Very good vintage condition with some patina. This item may have been originally gilded, but as you can see from the photos it is now very old and patinated, and has been left in as found condition. From looking at the back, this may have been part of an even larger display at one time, although I’m not positive. The main arm, and the 3 candle holding arms all swivel, so may be placed where ever you would like them. A beautiful decorative piece. Protudes from wall up to 13.25 inches. Listing is for a vintage matching pair of Victorian wall candle sconces, with holders for 2 candles each. Both marked with the letter “S” on the back, above the mirror. Both have beveled mirrors with some small chip size areas having loss the reflection (paint loss to the back of the glass/mirror causes loss to the mirror’s reflectionon the front side), and water like dots. One mirror has some somewhat extensive scratching in one area (mirror on the left in the photos), you can feel with your fingernail, and can easily see it from 10 feet away, so the mirror, or both, should be replaced, the other is in good/acceptable condition, no scratching. These measure approximately 23″ long, mirror area is 7″ wide, candle holders are wider at about 9″ for one and 9 1/4″ for the other, these are not perfectly aligned, but could be properly aligned. The round base of the actual candle holder has 6 holes each for hanging crystals. You will need 24 matching crystals. These have been painted a gold/brass color, I do see brass under the paint here and there on the front side. Back could be cast iron, with brass to the front? Both are basically in very good condition with the mirrors and paint being the exceptions, no breaks, cracks, or repairs. See photos for more details. Thank you for viewing.
