This is a beautiful set of two vintage golden brass wall sconces designed by Edigio Casagrande. Features at a glance. Type: Shiny brutalist wall sconces candle holders. Designer: Edigio Casagrande, Master Metalworker (1911 1962). Country / Region of Origin: Borgo Valsugana, Italy. Etched on the back with a stamp E. Casagrande Italy, Borgo Valsugana 712. Number of Pieces in Set: Two. Style: Italian Arts and Crafts Movement. Age: Mid Century / 1940s 1950s. Material: Solid Golden Brass. Measurements: 27 long and 7 ½ wide at the widest part. Condition: This magnificent set is in very good condition with some patina, tarnish and light scratches commensurate with the age of these pieces. Brass is shiny and nice. This Brutalist design has sharp edges. The back part has a dark tarnish stain. Brass pegs on the front are also darker, but strong. These pieces have been cleaned, but not polished. Pair of matching wall sconces made to look like candles. Each one is solid and heavy. They weight about 5 lbs. They are 18″ tall and 8″ wide at widest part (base of candle). The oval bases measure 5″ across by 7.5″ tall. These are beautiful and made to look antique but they are merely vintage. The cylinder-shaped tubes which make the candle bases are in disrepair. While perfectly functional, they are discolored and one has cracking and some damage at base which is hidden but still there. The metal portion has some off-white paint drippage which should be pretty easy to remove. I used my thumbnail and one drip came off but it felt like nails on a chalkboard so I gave up. The lamps themselves are great, just possibly not the bulbs. These look better with the flickering bulbs, anyway. I’m listing a lot of vintage lighting from a retro project and it all looks great together so be sure to check out our other listings! They have a shiny gold finish and made of thick brass. Both in nice used condition and each measures 16 3/4 inches long by 8 inches wide and sits 5 1/4 inches from the wall.
