A rare late 19th century Victorian mirrored brass wall mounted candle/fairy light holder comprising. An ornate brass diamond shaped wall hanging candle/fairy lamp holder with small round mirror to the centre with ring bracket below in which sits. A pink Nailsea type glass candle/fairy light holder with ruffled rim. The mirror is a modern replacement and the two fixings on ring bracket also look to be modern replacements – otherwise everything else is original. The diamond shaped brass wall hanging back plaque measures 13.5″ (34.25 cms) x 13.5″ (34.25 cms). I have a number of other antiques and collectors items. Apart from the modern replacements (mentioned above), everything else is in good original condition with no damage. There is some slight loss of glaze to the base rim of the cream ware lamp cup (shown), otherwise good condition. The pictures give a fair representation of condition. Nevertheless a rare lamp which would be a perfect addition to a themed collection. Please view the other collectors items I have for sale. I pack to a high standard using bubble wrap, loose fill and polystyrene to prevent damage and disappointment and obtain a certificate of posting for each item when posted. Listing is for a vintage matching pair of Victorian wall candle sconces, with holders for 2 candles each. Both marked with the letter “S” on the back, above the mirror. Both have beveled mirrors with some small chip size areas having loss the reflection (paint loss to the back of the glass/mirror causes loss to the mirror’s reflectionon the front side), and water like dots. One mirror has some somewhat extensive scratching in one area (mirror on the left in the photos), you can feel with your fingernail, and can easily see it from 10 feet away, so the mirror, or both, should be replaced, the other is in good/acceptable condition, no scratching. These measure approximately 23″ long, mirror area is 7″ wide, candle holders are wider at about 9″ for one and 9 1/4″ for the other, these are not perfectly aligned, but could be properly aligned. The round base of the actual candle holder has 6 holes each for hanging crystals. You will need 24 matching crystals. These have been painted a gold/brass color, I do see brass under the paint here and there on the front side. Back could be cast iron, with brass to the front? Both are basically in very good condition with the mirrors and paint being the exceptions, no breaks, cracks, or repairs. See photos for more details. Thank you for viewing. These were salvaged from a Georgian greenhouse complex before it was re developed for housing in Buckinghamshire. They have sat in a barn since. Beautifully aged and heavy cast iron and solid forged. The branches can be moved see images. They have all their original cast candle pins in the cup. Would look amazing stripped. These are rare have only seen two pairs of these on the web up at considerably more. They have an amazing look and will be superb mounted to a wall in the right interior. The three candle holders swivel slightly on the supports. Each one measures 45 cm high with a Span of 32 cm approx.
