Mid Century Brutalist Iron Rod Candle Holder Wall Sconce. Iconic example of the Brutalist style. Heavy iron rod, welded construction. Old (1970) and original. 20.5 x 17. Extends from the wall 5.5. Rods are 7/16 (0.4375cm) diameter. Very good condition; complete but has some rust and some bent rods. The essence of Brutalist design style lies in its raw, exposed materials and its emphasis on functionality and honesty in construction. It often features bold, geometric forms and lacks decorative elements, focusing instead on the innate qualities of the materials used. Brutalist architecture aims to create powerful, monumental structures that make a statement about strength and honesty in design.
