A pair of antique French 19th century heavy bronze and metal wall sconces. Modelled as a pair of putti guarding a flame floating above a lady’s head, wearing a crown/tiara and a decorative collar, acanthus foliage scrolling arms and sconces. Drilled for electric wires. Original antique French wiring running along the arms which should be replaced or simply removed so that these can be used as real candle holders. The babeche/drip plates do not match, one is different, see photos. Total height of back plate 8½. Overall width, between putti feet, about 4½ wide. The candle holders extend about 5 from wall. Please look closely at the photos, there is a replacement gem in one tiara.
