Superb pair of VINTAGE French-country style DECORATIVE. Cast iron CANDLE SCONCES with DOVES IN FLIGHT. These lovely decorative wall candle sconces distinctly French country style. Could be used as a focal point within a room or garden. Made of cast iron and with lovely detailing, the sconces can be taken apart to be cleaned. There are two screws to the reverse which hold the arm of the sconce to the back plate. The cream paintwork is worn and stained, and there is rust coming through as shown in the photos, but the patination and wear add both to the authenticity of the piece and its charm. Could be cleaned and repainted if desired. Height to wing tip. Width of back plate: 11 (28 cm). Projection: 11 (28 cm). Wing span: 6 (15.5 cm).
