Bacchus/Dionysus Faces with “Grape Leaf Coiffures” between the Candleholders. Mounted by curvaceous “Crowns” with stylized leaves and grape clusters. Beaded and scalloped detail around mirror. Each sconce has stamped number on back. In very good condition. Brass has beautiful “bronze” tone patina. Please note one mirror has oxidation/silver loss under the mirror. Very fine detail throughout. 13 1/2 from very top to bottom of Bacchus Head. 14 1/2 total height to bottom of candleholder. 6 1/2 at widest part of top. We wrap all our items very carefully. The reticulated designed frame is very ornate and has a foliated motif trimming the edge. It also has a portrait of Bacchus on the pediment. The frame is also embellished with a matching dual candle holder that pivots from side to side on its mount. It is also marked by the NY foundry it was made on the backside. Up for sale is a nice quality 19th century antique figural wall mirror/candle holder sconce. It’s elaborately cast out of a thick gilt bronze and its a heavy piece. The reticulated designed frame is very ornate and has a foliated motif trimming the edge. It also has a portrait of Bacchus on the pediment. The frame is also embellished with a matching dual candle holder that pivots from side to side on its mount. It is also marked by the NY foundry it was made on the backside.
